Currently an Associate Professor of Management at Ramapo College of New Jersey, his work sits at the critical nexus of technology and business. Prior to his academic tenure, Dr. Varma contributed significantly to the tech industry as a developer, architect, product manager, and consultant. He has been instrumental in designing sustainable platforms and ecosystems for several blockchain startups, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. In his ongoing role as Technology Lead for the Algorand Foundation in India, Dr. Varma guides a vibrant technical community in crafting enterprise-grade blockchain solutions. With a diverse industry background, and core expertise in the fashion industry, she has worked in the United States, Dubai, London, and Canada. Ambriel brings unique perspectives to the Fellowship program working at the intersection of Inclusion, Web 3 technologies and the luxury sector. Ambriel holds a Bachelors in Dramatic Arts from Spelman College and has studied at Yale University, London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London and Goldsmiths, University of London. Welcome Moses Akintunde to the Center of Excellence on Human-centered Global Economy at The Digital Economist for the 2024-25 term! Moses is currently an Advisory Board Member at the Science Summit at United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), helping fellow advisory members to bring industry leaders to the world stage in supporting science for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A recent Masters graduate in Public Health from Columbia University, Moses is working towards promoting the shared capacity for research collaboration and ensuring access to data for all. Previously he was a Product Development & Digital Strategy consultant at Bonfire Digital Wellness and Public Health Advisor at NYC Health + Hospitals. His expertise extends over a decade in global health security and equity, community health, development, digital communications, (inter)national policy, and quality improvement initiatives in healthcare. Moses is also a two-time digital health and wellness entrepreneur and a seasoned leader known for his advocacy for the underserved during times of disruption. Moses' background and experience in global health supercharges our mission to leverage digital technologies for a sustainable and inclusive global economy. Marko recently held the position of Sustainability Lecturer & Researcher at HEC Paris Society & Organizations Institute (S&O). There, he conducted significant research on global sustainability regulations and played a pivotal role in revamping an executive education course on sustainability. Before his tenure at HEC Paris, Marko was the Head of Sustainability Operations at AMNIe LP and a Sustainability Consultant at Accenture. Before embarking on her PhD journey, she was a consultant on long-term futures at UBS's financial think tank and produced art across Canada, the US, and Switzerland. Additionally, she held a pivotal role in Global Communication Content at SWAROVSKI. Anna’s unique blend of artistic creativity and scientific rigor embodies our vision of what it means to be a Digital Economist.
