At my latest podcast with the brilliant team of Fashion Innovation Agency at London College of Fashion and the fantastic visual artist Johannes Saam we discussed how the Fashion industry is going to change with AI and Blockchain. Here are just a few insights from the episode: 👾 AI will significantly impact all industries, not just fashion, and the focus should be on adopting and utilising it in a productive, inclusive, and positive manner. 👾 Fashion is undergoing significant changes in how it is created, communicated, and consumed, and the implementation of AI tools is inevitable. The pace of AI development is incredibly fast, and it is necessary to keep up with the latest research. 👾 The future requires creatives to understand AI and apply new skill sets for operating AI tools effectively, as it can help overcome limitations and create compelling outputs even with limited resources. 👾 The quality and pushing boundaries in creativity with the help of AI still require significant human input. Access to AI technology is not enough; utilising it at a high level is a critical challenge. 👾 AI will be mainly used for fast fashion as it gives significant advantages for personalisation and scalability. 👾 In the future, AI tools will reflect a designer's style on archived footage by typing the designer's name in a prompt. 👾 AI will democratise fashion creation by allowing diverse creative voices to contribute to the industry. The key is empowering individuals to create content that resonates with their peers and communities. 👾 AI will play a significant role in generating revenue and driving consumer desire for luxury brands by enhancing authentication, emotional connection and aspiration. 👾 The big concern for AI lies in the proliferation of deepfakes and the potential impact on digital identities and misinformation. Blockchain innovation can help verify sources. 👾 Addressing biases in the fashion industry can be achieved by training the AI model. 👾 Despite technological advancements such as AI , consumption and production behaviours remain unchanged, posing challenges for sustainability efforts. Senior Advisor I Retail Consultant | International Sales I Fashion & Beauty Industry I Keynote Speaker I Linkedin TOP VOICE 2023 | AI, AR, VR and CX enthusiast
𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝘂𝘅𝘂𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: 𝗔 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗽 𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝗘 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 Yesterday at IE Business School Executive Education, we delved into an enlightening masterclass, moderated by Susana Campuzano García that intertwined the realms of #luxury and #sustainability. Here are my takeaways: 📲 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗼𝗻 The discussion opened with an exploration of how #AI and #AR/#VR technologies can drive positive change by Carlota Rodben, author of the book "Beyond Luxury: The promise of Emotion". For luxury brands, #AI offers predictive analytics for better resource management, while #AR and #VR provide #immersive experiences that reduce the need for physical samples, thus lowering the environmental footprint. ✅ 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 A pivotal aspect of our discussion was the transformative power of an efficiently managed supply chain in minimizing environmental footprints by Ivan Baturone. Every step from #sourcing materials to #manufacturing products holds immense potential for sustainability. By optimising these processes, luxury brands can significantly reduce waste and resource consumption. #Blockchain helps narrate this story, ensuring every step from raw material to finished product aligns with sustainability values. 👗 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗠𝗰𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘆: 𝗔 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝘂𝘅𝘂𝗿𝘆 Sara Cosano Sánchez-Escribano focused on Stella McCartney's approach to integrating sustainability into her core business model. Her brand is a testament to how luxury and ethical practices can coexist, championing materials and processes that are both high-quality and environmentally conscious. 💡 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 Companies face a dual challenge: maintaining #profitability while embracing sustainable practices. This balance becomes even more complex when considering diverse global markets, not just in regulatory-intensive regions like Europe, but across a diverse global market. The future demands a reimagining of luxury where environmental ethics are embedded in the core business model. As Carlota paraphrased: "𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐭" #LuxurySustainability #IEBusinessSchool #InnovativeLeadership #ESG

Amazing work done by Olivier Tjon & our team at BEYOND REASON - Actionable Neuromarketing for our participation at the WWD Tech symposium. A must-see if you're working in the luxury and/or NFT business. For more info, get in touch, but first of all, enjoy this great video 🙌 #neuromarketing #luxurymarketing #beyondreason
What an honour to address a global audience of business leaders at the WWD tech symposium, organised to wrap-up a memorable men’s fashion week in Paris. Watch the 10 minute talk here: main take out: 1 The luxury consumer does not buy products. She/he pays to fulfil deep psychological needs. The products are merely means to reach this goal. 2 This can only be measured using innovative neuroresearch methods, classical approaches fail to produce valid answers and data about the subconscious brain processes that shape the purchase decision. 3 These deep psychological needs are different per luxury category, but all evolve around our need to have POWER over others. That’s the most visceral driver of the luxury & art purchases. 4 The purchase motivations of luxury, art & NFT art are -nuances aside-closely related. It is advisable for luxury brands to make NFT art part of their business, and to further exploit this emerging phenomenon. More details? Contact Olivier Tjon. Thank you very much for this nice collab WWD editorial team, Fairchild Media event team. #business #fashion #paris #science #neuroscience #marketing #neuromarketing
