  • In honor of #Pride, we’re recognizing LGBTQ+ Circana employees and allies on our social channels this month! This week, we’re spotlighting Elizabeth Phillips. What does Pride mean to me? For me, Pride is something I practice every day with my family and those around me. I feel a great responsibility to carry Pride with me for those in the past who worked tirelessly to unlock the freedoms I have now and for those today who are unable to wear their Pride openly because of their family, work or geographic situation. Pride as an event is a time for my family and me to reaffirm our commitment to education and advocacy for those in any marginalized or threatened community. What achievements are you most proud of? I am most proud of my family. I’ve been married to my wife for 15 years, and we have two boys who are amazing little creatures. I am also very proud of being open about my sexuality without reservation since the age of 18. It wasn’t always easy, and it isn’t always possible for many in the LGBTQIA+ community, but I am proud that I started my career openly and continued to be open as I moved companies and roles. How will you celebrate Pride in June and throughout the year? Our Pride is usually pretty low-key. We will definitely attend our local Pride parade. I will also carve out some time to learn about new organizations doing work in the community. This year, I will focus on threats to trans youth and the drag community. I also hope to reconnect with some of my LGBTQIA+ co-workers at Circana and wish them a happy Pride! #CircanaCelebratesPride

  • In honor of #Pride, we’re recognizing LGBTQ+ Circana employees and allies on our social channels this month! This week, we’re spotlighting Patrick Livingston. What does Pride mean to me? Pride is about acknowledging and recognizing who you are and realizing that members of the  LGBTQ+ community make unique contributions to our community, family, and careers.  Who is my Pride Hero in the LGBTQIA+ community? Harvey Milk was a leader well ahead of his time; he believed that success started in the neighborhoods and spent his short life advocating for a more hopeful future for our communities.  How will you celebrate Pride in June and throughout the year? I will be participating in my 5th “AIDS Lifecycle” charity bike ride, which is 545 miles down the California coast, with 3,000+ riders/roadies raising over $15M for AIDS/HIV support. #CircanaCelebratesPride

  • In honor of #Pride, we’re recognizing LGBTQ+ Circana employees and allies on our social channels this month! This week, we’re spotlighting Fabio Souza. What does Pride mean to me? It means courageously asserting my identity and sharing the quest for freedom. It honors every aspect of who we are and stands united with my community. It’s about fighting for a world where everyone can live authentically and without fear. Who is my Pride Hero in the LGBTQIA+ community? One of my Pride Heroes in our community is Laerte Coutinho. As an iconic figure of trans activism in Brazil, she challenged stereotypes and faced adversity, paving the way for trans visibility. Her courage and authenticity inspire us to embrace our truth and fight for a more inclusive and just society. How will you celebrate Pride in June and throughout the year? Being actively engaged in our cause, I deeply value the strength found in our hearts. • In honor of #Pride, we’re recognizing LGBTQ+ Circana employees and allies on our social channels this month! This week, we’re spotlighting Kristen McLean. What does Pride mean to me? As the parent of an LGBTQIA+ teen, and with many other LGBTQIA+ people in my family and community, Pride means being willing to show up to do the real work of advocacy and to honestly reflect my Pride every day. Who is my Pride Hero in the LGBTQIA+ community? My biggest heroes right now are the organizations on the frontlines of legal challenges to LGBTQIA+ discrimination in the U.S., including Chase Strangio at the ACLU, the folks at the Southern Poverty Law Center, and the Human Rights Campaign. How will you celebrate Pride in June and throughout the year? As someone active in LGBTQIA+ issues at Circana and at home in Florida, I am a big believer in the power of this community’s joy, humor, and tenacity. I try to connect to that energy year-round and draw hope from it daily. This June, I am looking to celebrate this with all of you. #CircanaCelebratesPride

  • We celebrated European Diversity Month in May by embracing our European team’s diverse perspectives and experiences. Our European colleagues shared what DE&I looks like for them and anecdotes about when colleagues made them feel included and valued or when they’ve been part of advancing DEI at Circana. You can read excerpts in the GIF below. Circana partnered with the Human Library Organization for an event that featured bold conversations with the program’s “human books.” Attendees gained new perspectives on life and learned how we can all contribute to making Circana more inclusive and welcoming. These discussions were truly transformative. Here’s how one colleague described the experience: – “It was a good way to explore human beings and reflect on what is important in life: people and caring about people. Thanks a lot for this wonderful experience.” Volunteer #DEI leads and committee members across our European teams helped make the month successful. A special thank you to Aurélia Giraud, Cinzia Bertoli, Eva Perez, Gemma Roch, Karen Kearns, Katy Murray, Laura Cents, Léo Diotti, Miguel Fernández Cobos, Niki Markopoulou, Stefania Minoia, and Tania Durán Pérez!

  • Throughout #APIHeritageMonth, we celebrated the exceptional talent within our Circana team by highlighting individuals on our social platforms. Today, we’re spotlighting Sarah Luo, Media Analyst III, Global Solutions Delivery. What does API Heritage Month mean to you? In 2013, I moved to the U.S. to pursue a bachelor’s degree and earned my master’s. I had never had the chance to celebrate it with my family until this year when I could reunite with them. On New Year’s Eve, we prepared 30 cuisines, including braised fish, chicken soup, dumplings, and fried rice cakes. At midnight, I hung red lanterns, practiced paper cutting, and received lucky red envelopes (Hong Bao) from my parents, wishing for another prosperous year of Dragon. Celebrating API Heritage Month embodies this spirit — honoring the rich cultural tapestry, enhancing appreciation for diversity, and promoting inclusivity within Circana. What achievements are you most proud of? In 2020, I embarked on an entrepreneurial journey by founding my first company, which targets a niche educational and psychological consulting market. This venture quickly gained momentum, and within just two years, we expanded our operations to five cities and attracted over 120K+ followers across social media platforms. I had the honor of being recognized as one of the youngest speakers on CCTV Entrepreneurship Spirit, reaching an audience of 1.2 billion viewers in China. As a young Asian woman, I feel both recognized and empowered in Circana. This sense of empowerment fuels my entrepreneurial spirit, inspiring me to push boundaries in every day’s work. What unique talents do you bring to Circana? I’ve played DJI drones for three years and played the violin for over 20 years. Flying drones allows me to discover the world from unique perspectives. I enjoy being an explorer. Similarly, playing the violin is like weaving strings of emotion into melodies and painting my soul with the vibrant hues of spring. I enjoy being a creator. I plan to bring these talents to Circana by recording beautiful moments with drones and playing the violin for the team. More importantly, I will continually explore innovative solutions for marketing mix projects, infusing my team with passion and curiosity.
