Remember this video I posted a month ago to go to Cannes Lions? Well, I didn’t win. I was planning to hide as long as needed until my next win so I could show off on LinkedIn and tell you guys how pleased I am to announce « insert any wins here » 🙃 But I recently watched a video from Ali Abdaal who opens up about how his new business is struggling and his learnings from it. This inspired me to not only share the wins but also the losses — because both happen whether you want it or not and both can be valuable. So here are my learnings 👀 → Failing is part of the learning process. It’s how you come back from it that matters. → The power of personal branding is real — this video got me 4 rounds of interviews with a global marketing team at one of the largest toy companies (spoiler alert: they went with someone internally) → It’s hard to admit it at first but each experience makes you stronger and ready for the next battle. → Don't get caught up too much in getting recognition from people who don't know you. Focus on doing the work and it will speak for itself. I would have never thought about posting something like this a few years ago but my past experiences taught me that trying again and again and again always pays off. It's just a matter of time. For those who are in Paris I’ll be there in June, let’s catch up :)
