Outdoor webcam with floodlights

Hi, I have a Google model GPLE9 outdoor wired webcam with floodlights and I painted in to blend with the house. Now I am trying to reconnect it and I cannot find the QR code or 6 digit code. I have removed the paint from around the camera's cord and speaker, but no code. Please advise. Thank you.

Did you by any chance save the QR code sticker in your Quick Start Guide, as the install instructions recommend?  (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/11003780) For the floodlight camera and the battery camera (which we have), the QR code is NOT on the camera.

You have to remove the power cable to view the 6-character alphanumeric Setup Code on the bottom of the camera.

Without one of these, you cannot reinstall your camera.

You could try contacting Support to see if they'll replace your camera. They cannot bypass the install process.

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

Thank you for the helpful reply. Can you be a little more detailed on ‘how to remove the power cable’ to view the 6-character alphanumeric Setup Code on the bottom of the camera?

Thank you.

See the install video on the link I provided, at about 1:22; it shows the location of the Setup Code. (The size is exaggerated.) On other posts in this forum, customers have indicated that the power cable gets in the way of viewing the Setup Code.

I'm talking about the power cord with the magnetic connector that is screwed into the bottom of the camera, as shown at about 4:43 in the install video.

We have the battery camera, which is the same camera, but when sold as the battery camera, our connector just clips into place with the magnet and is not screwed in. I can't view ours, as it's mounted on our house.

If you can find it, write it down. We've written down all of our Setup Codes for years.
