Drossinternets.lv continues to strengthen its operational framework through strategic partnerships and legal agreements that enhance its ability to combat illegal online content. The Latvian hotline has signed a formal Agreement with the State Police for the processing of CSAM reports, ensuring swift action against harmful content. Additionally, it has established a Memorandum of Understanding with ISPs to facilitate the timely take-down of CSAM when discovered. In a recent development, the hotline has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Latvia's Digital Services Coordinator - The Consumer Protection Centre - to cooperate in the submission of reports according to the DSA Trusted Flaggers programme, furthering its commitment to creating a safer online environment. These partnerships represent crucial steps in the hotline's ongoing mission to protect children online and respond effectively to digital threats. #drossinternets #LatvianSIC #hotlineofthemonth #memberhotline #globalnetwork #safeinternet

INHOPE is the leading global network of 55 hotlines in 51 countries combating online Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
About us
INHOPE is the leading global network combatting online Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). The Network consists of 55 hotlines in 51 countries (as of January 2025) that provide the public with a way to anonymously report illegal content online with a focus on CSAM. Reports are reviewed by content analysts who classify the illegality of the material, which is then shared with local Law Enforcement Agencies and a notice and takedown order is sent to the relevant Hosting Provider. We support hotlines and their partner organisations through training, setting high quality standards and best practices for hotline operations, and ensuring staff welfare. We provide the hotline network with a secure platform called ICCAM that facilitates the exchange of CSAM reports between hotlines and INTERPOL. INHOPE promotes legislative and policy developments that support our vision of an internet free from CSAM. INHOPE is based in the Netherlands and our member hotlines operate across six continents: Africa, Asia, Australia/Oceania, Europe, North and South America. In a borderless digital world CSAM has global consequences and as its distribution grows so do our efforts. This is only possible with the support and funding from the European Commission, Safe Online and INHOPE’s corporate partners. Join us in the fight!

Drossinternets.lv our hotline of the month, has developed an innovative self-help test to inform children about grooming risks! This essential tool, developed in cooperation with the State Police and Children Protection Centre, not only educates children aged 8-17 but also serves as a valuable data collection resource. Over a three-year period, 9,900 children have taken the test, revealing that 18% have experienced grooming attempts with requests to send self-generated nude pictures or videos. The tool has been translated into English and is accessible at https://ow.ly/JmIX50VG8ek Each year, the hotline organises an informative campaign through press conferences, interviews, and media articles to share the test results, highlighting the high latency of this type of crime - children often remain silent about grooming experiences. While police records show only around 100 cases per year, test results indicate approximately 2,000 children have reported being groomed.
