Nest thermostat wont connect to WiFi

Our Nest learning thermostat suddenly stopped finding the WiFi after 2 years.  We have tried all suggested options of resetting the WiFi, resetting the thermostat, and trying to connect to a hotspot.  The thermostat still can not find the WiFi.  I would like to talk to a real live person but have been on hold for over an hour with a number that is not clearly a Google Nest customer line.

I have read several posts that this is a known problem. Is it a Google designed obsolescence with the Nest learning thermostat?  I would appreciate some help.

We have the exact same issue from about 9 hours ago. Has been working fine, nothing wrong with our Wi-Fi, been through all the troubleshooting steps and nothing works. Would love to know what to do before I have to pay to call someone out.

Yep, same thing for me today as well. One of the nests just offline and no networks found when you tell it to search. 😤

Check advice on here, I like an idiot got duff info and told to send back which I did and now told I need to also send the heat link back, been on phone 2 hours trying to get solution 🤯🤯🤯

I wouldn't have a problem sending both back, apart from the inconvenience. I'll try them on the chat when it opens tomorrow.

with hindsight given the age of my unit, as still under warranty I should have contacted Boxt who did the install. So in my case they have now agreed to send the whole box and for me to return the New heat link directly back - that’s if the new thermostat will pair with the current heat link. So just to confirm if they say ok send back they mean all of it including the heat link which will have to be uninstalled. The issue seems that they can’t just send out thermostats on their own and want the complete set back in their hands before sending out a replacement and that combined with incorrect info means I have wasted the weekend flapping about with this😤 So timescale - item shipped via DHL express goes to Poland, the 7 - 10 days for new unit to arrive🤞

i just paid the deposit and i got a new Nest the nest day. Posted the old one back today, job done.

Still  chasing mine! They had it back on 21st - as of this morning still processing, I really don’t think they are consistent with anything.

Hi Kelly32,

Thanks for reaching out! I understand your Nest thermostat isn't connecting to the Wi-Fi network. I know how frustrating that can be. No worries I am here to help!

Here's a troubleshooting tip: Please visit the thermostat that does not show the  Wi-Fi network and follow the steps.

I hopes this helps!

Regards,

Manuel
