I get low battery alerts and beeping at midnight on my nest smoke detectors. I did not get any warning that it was a low battery until then. Is there anyway to get low battery alerts prior to midnight before the battery goes completely dead. These are wired smoke detectors with battery back up. Shouldn’t the app alert you that your battery is getting low so you can change it before the annoying beep starts at midnight

We don't have Nest Protects, but when the batteries are getting low, the Nest app is supposed to notify you, and the Nest Protect's light ring is supposed to pulse yellow when you turn off the lights at night, and you should get a message during "Nightly Promise":
