Google Doorbell battery doesnt catch most of the action

I have 2 cameras set up in either side of my front door. While the older Nest hello catched the slightest movement or sounds (sometimes irritatingly so), the newer google doorbell battery fails to catch most of them. There was a fox outside my door on a midnight. It was howling like crazy standing in front of the house, i thought the google doorbell would catch it definitely since it was not going away just slowly roaming and howling. The angle was perfect for the google  doorbell.. but unfortunately there was no footage, but the best hello was on recording the audio, but no photos due to the angle. Similarly the tiniest of bees or butterflies seem to trigger the nest hello but not the google doorbell. The strangest part is that the nest hello wakes up when it sees the camera of the google doorbell getting activated but at the same time there seems to be no recording in the google device? For most of the events it misses to catch the action.. the older nest devices were much better.. i know some would say that one is a wired and the other is battery powered. But i connected the google to a  wasserstein solar power panel, but no change was noticed.. i am kind of disappointed

When the 2nd gen battery doorbell is connected to either a doorbell transformer OR to a solar power panel, it is still running on battery power, and so has to wake up before it can detect an event.

We have a 2nd gen battery camera and are glad it's plugged in with the optional power cable.
