Camera Won't Stay On

My outdoor cam battery ran out. I tried to charge the camera and I couldn't get a light/signal that it was charging (plug was in correctly). Things I tried:
* Cleaning connections
* Tried multiple outlets
* Unplug, Plug in, unplug, plug in....
* Restart and Factory Restart

I finally got the indicator light to come on and my app said it located a new device. I went through the entire setup process, which included scanning the barcode, renaming, setup, etc. I did have video through the new setup and once everything was complete, I verified it was fully charged.  When I removed the charger, the camera light turned off and I lost the signal to the app.

Now I can't get a signal to the app nor can I get a light to come on the camera.

Is the camera dead at this point?

We've had a battery camera since Sept. 2021, plugged in with the optional power cable, and it's always "Live" and online.

I don't know how the battery cameras perform over time when they're running on battery power and being charged regularly. You could try contacting Support to determine whether your camera needs a warranty replacement:

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.
