Evaluate sourcing resources

- Most sourcers have their favorite go-to resources to find candidates. I'm sure you'll first contact your professional network, and probably next turn to LinkedIn. But why stop there? Your success throughout your career depends on your ability to stay informed of new resources to identify top talent. Resources that may have been effective to you in the past, could be replaced by a new social media site or a new sourcing tool. The most common methods for sourcing candidates are common for a reason, they work. However, you can source additional talent when you utilize less conventional resources. The key is to understand your targeted candidates, so you can predict where to find them. Often, the best candidate to fill an open requisition, is currently working, doing a great job, and is not conducting an active job search.
