People don’t think of their experiences in silos and health plans can’t either. Instead, they must analyze experience data from end-to-end to reduce friction during their members’ journeys and make improvements based on that feedback. Connecting these dots with continuous feedback is health plans’ key to quality improvement. This is what we love to see! One of the things we're most passionate about is helping our clients jumpstart their #HRO journeys. That's why we're glad when clients like SUNY Downstate College of Medicine Downstate Health Sciences University are recognized for the strides they're making to elevate their culture of patient #safety and #quality.

Just as in the hospitality industry, healthcare is all about the details. Every encounter a patient has with your organization is a chance to elevate their experience. In fact, these two industries have a lot more in common than you might think, and that’s what we dive into in our latest episode of PG Pulse. Our Chief Medical Officer, Thomas Lee, MD explores these similarities with two hospitality industry veterans—Sven Gierlinger, formerly from the Ritz-Carlton, and serves now as Senior Vice President and Chief Experience Officer at Northwell Health and Pierre Pham, who brings his experience at Starwood Hotels and Resorts to his role as Chief Experience Officer at NYC Health + Hospitals. Extraordinary nurses don’t just look out for their patients. They look out for their teams as well. During an extremely emotional shift for the Critical Care team at Baptist Health South Miami Hospital, Nurse Christopher Pujols-Morales stepped in to support the team. Assisting with paperwork and patient care, and even taking on the job of a “runner” for the Critical Care team, Nurse Christopher ensured no balls were dropped. Thank you, Nurse Christopher, for your grace, positivity, and commitment to teamwork!
