Yesterday, Lifepoint Behavioral Health, a business unit of Lifepoint Health, celebrated a community open house and a special ribbon-cutting ceremony for the grand opening of North Florida Rehabilitation Hospital. This is the first free-standing inpatient rehabilitation facility west of the St. Johns River. The new, 60,000-square-foot, 50-bed facility was structurally designed to create a therapeutic environment for patients and is outfitted with leading-edge amenities and adaptive units. On Wednesday, Lifepoint Rehabilitation and Loma Linda University Health announced that they have entered into a joint venture partnership to build and operate a new inpatient rehabilitation facility in Loma Linda, California. Mercy Health - Youngstown and Lifepoint Behavioral Health, a business unit of Lifepoint Health, recently broke ground on a new behavioral health hospital. The 61,900-square-foot facility, to be called Mercy Health Behavioral Hospital, will have 72 beds, spacious patient rooms, community areas, outside courtyards and state-of-the-art clinical spaces to support the needs of patients and families. Yesterday, Lifepoint Rehabilitation, a business unit of Lifepoint Health, announced that it has acquired an inpatient rehabilitation facility in San Antonio, Texas from Everest Rehabilitation Hospitals. The San Antonio facility joins a network of more than 40 inpatient rehabilitation facilities that are operated by Lifepoint Rehabilitation across the country. Last week, to recognize March as National Nutrition Month, nearly 40 Lifepoint team members came together to support Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee in sorting and packing food to help fight food insecurity in our community. Thank you to all our Lifepoint volunteers for lending their time and efforts to champion this worthy cause. 

Northeast Georgia Health System and Lifepoint Rehabilitation, a business unit of Lifepoint Health, broke ground today on a new inpatient rehabilitation hospital. The 61,000-square-foot, two-story facility, to be called Northeast Georgia Rehabilitation Institute, will have 40 beds, all private rooms, large therapy gymnasiums outfitted with the latest therapeutic technologies, a transitional living apartment designed to simulate residential space and a therapeutic outdoor courtyard with golf, varied walking surfaces and shaded seating and dining areas.
