Yesterday, leaders from Jefferson Regional, Pine Bluff, Lifepoint Rehabilitation and Lifepoint Behavioral Health, affiliates of Lifepoint Health, celebrated the opening of Jefferson Regional Specialty Hospital in White Hall, Arkansas. This 76-bed, 87,000 square-foot facility is a rehabilitation and behavioral health hospital, and it increases the number of existing acute rehabilitation and behavioral health beds previously available at Jefferson Regional. Yesterday, Lifepoint Rehabilitation, a business unit of Lifepoint Health, celebrated a community open house and a special ribbon-cutting ceremony for the grand opening of North Florida Rehabilitation Hospital. This is the first free-standing inpatient rehabilitation facility west of the St. Johns River. The new, 60,000-square-foot, 50-bed facility was structurally designed to create a therapeutic environment for patients and is outfitted with leading-edge amenities and adaptive units. On Wednesday, Lifepoint Rehabilitation and Loma Linda University Health announced that they have entered into a joint venture partnership to build and operate a new inpatient rehabilitation facility in Loma Linda, California. Mercy Health - Youngstown and Lifepoint Behavioral Health, a business unit of Lifepoint Health, recently broke ground on a new behavioral health hospital. The 61,900-square-foot facility, to be called Mercy Health Behavioral Hospital, will have 72 beds, spacious patient rooms, community areas, outside courtyards and state-of-the-art clinical spaces to support the needs of patients and families. Yesterday, Lifepoint Rehabilitation, a business unit of Lifepoint Health, announced that it has acquired an inpatient rehabilitation facility in San Antonio, Texas from Everest Rehabilitation Hospitals. The San Antonio facility joins a network of more than 40 inpatient rehabilitation facilities that are operated by Lifepoint Rehabilitation across the country.
