An international network of NGOs working to end the sexual exploitation of children.
About us
ECPAT is a growing network of over 124 civil society organizations in over 104 countries working to end the sexual exploitation of children through prostitution; taking action against travelling child sex offenders and tourists; preventing the trafficking of children for sexual purposes; stopping early and forced child marriage, and eliminating the online sexual exploitation of children. We are working to research and better understand this heinous crime; tackle the online sexual exploitation of children; end the trafficking of children for sexual purposes; wind-up the forced and early marriage of children; and bring a halt to the sexual exploitation of children through the travel and tourism industry. We advocate for a stronger legal environment to protect children; raise awareness among the public about the problem, and help survivors and victims to come to terms with what has happened to them – and better understand their rights.

Today, on International Day of the Boy Child, we reaffirm the right of all children, including boys, to be protected from sexual exploitation and abuse. Speaking with Survivors & Mates Support Network's CEO Craig Hughes-Cashmore at the 2023 #GlobalBoysSummit, he emphasised how many factors can heighten boys' vulnerability, especially for those who belong to marginalised communities. 👉 Read our Summit Report to learn more: https://bit.ly/EIGBSSR 👉 Learn more about ECPAT's #GlobalBoysInitiative: https://lnkd.in/gTKJvmsi #InternationalDayoftheBoyChild

Don't miss this event! Join us for the online release of PACT's groundbreaking research on sexual exploitation of boys in Minnesota. We are proud to collaborate with PACT and the Carlson Family Foundation to ensure that boys are protected from sexual exploitation and abuse. 🔗 Register now at: https://lnkd.in/gyb-p8Q4
PACT is honored to bring to light new research in collaboration with the Carlson Family Foundation titled “And Minnesota Boys, Too” in a webinar on May 15 at 12pm EST. For this report, we engaged nearly 100 Minnesota service providers through interviews, learning sessions and surveys. Our exploration focused on: -Referral pathways -Obstacles to equitable support -Gaps that compound trauma for boys and male-identified youth One of the unique takeaways from the research was how important secure, stable housing is for reducing vulnerabilities in this population. Multiple sources explained that the desperation resulting from homelessness led young boys to exploitation as they exchanged sex for basic needs. Sign up for the webinar on May 15th to learn more about the barriers young boys facing exploitation have to overcome in reporting and receiving support: https://lnkd.in/gyb-p8Q4
