Google Nest router will not enter setup mode after factory reset - solid white LED

Hi.  My ISP replaced my router with new gateway.  Once that was done, my Google Nest Wifi mesh network was no longer working so I tried to factory reset so I could set it back up.  First, did factory reset from google home app.  That removed the mesh network and all points connected to the mesh network.  But the router never went into setup mode.  Next I have tried the manual factory reset on the bottom of the router about 20 times.  The router goes through the reset mode (blinking yellow, then solid yellow) and after about 6 or 7 minutes, the steady white LED begins to shine.  I cannot discover the router in Google Home app (have updated app, forced closed it, tried different devices (all android)) Nothing seems to be working.  Need help if anyone has any suggestions.  Thanks.

Hi fmalikai,

Thanks for reaching out. Sorry for the frustration you're experiencing with your Google router. Don't worry, I'm here to help.

Based on the information you provided, it seems your device might be in blocking mode, which prevents a factory reset. Unplug your Nest router and leave it unplugged for 24 hours. This will allow the device to clear its data and perform a factory reset successfully.

I appreciate your troubleshooting efforts. Please keep me updated on the results after 24 hours.

Sincerely,

Jonathan
