Spoke with rep to assist with resetting my Nest Thermostat E.
Anna was the customer service rep
plugged cable to thermostat to windows pc
no nest device showed as connected
gave anna serial number of device she replied " your device is out of warranty"
WTF!!! am i required to purchase a new device every "X" years!!!!
She then hung up!!!
WTF GOOGL/NEST Customer Service rep NEEDS ALOT OF CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING~!!!
WHEN DO I NEED TO BUY A NEW DEVICE EVERY "X" YEARS???!!!!
The pin code set on the device does not register, i sought assistance resetting , ONLY!!! to be told that my device is not within the warrant parameters for assistance!!!
This is not the Google I had gotten to know as customer service plateau of innovation
WHY IS MY Devices not accepting my 4 digit pin to access it!!!!!!????

@artnlea, the Nest Thermostat comes with a 12-Month warranty. If you use a Nest Professional to install your thermostat you will get a 3-year warranty. As to your lost PIN all need to do is use your Nest App that is linked to you and your thermostat. You can go UNLOCK to unlock your thermostat without the PIN.
