Limit Light Effect Action to 60% Max Brightness Over a 15 minute duration

Within the Google Home Android App, how do I go about setting up an Automation where my smart LED light will switch on automatically at 05:00 and then slowly increase brightness from 0% to 60% within 15-minute duration.

I know how to setup a routine using the "Start light effect" action where I select the "Wake" tick box and then the "Set duration to" tick box and enter in 15min, but how do I go about limiting the brightness to a 60% max?

The easiest way I discovered was to use a Personal Routine

•Brightness 1%

•Turn on light

•Set Wake light effect timer to 19 minutes

•Add a 15 minute delay

•Use the STOP light effect action.

This gave me 58% after 15 minutes.

Welcome on the Google Nest Community,

1. Create multiple routines for each desired brightness level:

  • Start by creating a routine for 10% brightness. Set the action to turn on the light at 10% brightness.
  • Repeat the process for each desired brightness level (20%, 30%, ..., 60%).

2. Configure automatic activation of the routines:

  • For each routine, set the automatic activation at a 15-minute interval.
  • For example, the routine for 10% brightness could activate at 5:00 AM, the routine for 20% at 5:15 AM, and so on until 5:45 AM for the 60% routine.
