Dia Art Foundation Celebrates Dia’s 50th Anniversary and Honors Artists Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Maren Hassinger, Mary Heilmann, Rita McBride, Steve McQueen, and Meg Webster. Beacon, NY – On Saturday, May 11, 2024, more than 550 artists, philanthropists, museum directors, curators, and luminaries from the art, film, and fashion industries gathered in Beacon, New York, to celebrate Dia Art Foundation’s Spring Benefit and to pay tribute to Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Maren Hassinger, Mary Heilmann, Rita McBride, Steve McQueen, and Meg Webster on the occasion of the recent opening of six exhibitions of artists’ work at Dia Beacon and in celebration of Dia’s 50th anniversary. Guests were among the first to view a new immersive commission by Steve McQueen, titled Bass (2024). Proceeds from the gala support Dia’s innovative programs, including its long-term installations, commissions of ambitious new projects, publications, public lectures and readings, and educational initiatives. The day was made possible through the generous support of Bottega Veneta. The 2024 Spring Benefit Co-Chairs were Matthieu Blazy, Charles de Gunzburg, Maja Oeri, and Paul Pfeiffer. #BOTTEGAVENETA

Since its beginnings, Bottega Veneta has fostered a vibrant connection with the arts.   Every year, in April, we celebrate WORLD ART DAY, as designated by UNESCO, aiming to cultivate creativity, excellence, and cultural diversity.   In Milan last week, together with our CEO Bartolomeo Rongone, CPO Nicole Lonca, colleagues from all departments, and distinguished keynote speakers, gathered at Cenacolo Vinciano, Leonardo's Last Supper Museum for an exclusive event and exchanged cultural moments.   In Veneto, as well as across Bottega Veneta's regions, we carefully selected site-specific encounters with arts institutions for our employees, aimed at elevating through the arts and uphold our commitment to cultural advocacy, as part of our values.   #BOTTEGAVENETA

Matthieu Blazy and Bottega Veneta partner with Cassina and FONDATION LE CORBUSIER on Milan Design Week installation “On The Rocks” Under the Creative Direction of Matthieu Blazy, the installation centres on the LC14 Tabouret Cabanon, a timeless icon of Le Corbusier design that embodies the excellence of the Cassina carpentry workshop. The LC14 Tabouret was originally designed by Le Corbusier for his own cabin, or “cabanon”, at Roquebrune-Cap-Martin on the Côte d’Azur. On the Rocks will feature custom editions of the LC14 Tabouret, originally commissioned by Matthieu Blazy for the Bottega Veneta Winter 24 show set, along with a new limited-edition tribute, in signature Bottega Veneta leatherwork. The leather editions are available in four colours: red, yellow, blue, and raintree green. Each piece is completely covered with Bottega Veneta’s Intreccio foulard technique, woven by hand at the House’s artisanal atelier in Montebello, near Vicenza. The title of the installation reflects the origin story of the Tabouret, nodding to the coastal setting of Le Corbusier’s Cabanon, and the whiskey box that inspired the design. An original sample of this box will also be displayed. On the Rocks will be open to the public April 16 – 20. The exhibition will give visitors a glimpse into Palazzo San Fedele, which will become the new Bottega Veneta headquarters from September 2024. The historic building, nestled in the heart of Milan, is designed to house regular cultural moments, as well as the brand’s offices. On The Rocks 16-20 April 2024  Piazza San Fedele, 1/3, Milan Book your visit: https://lnkd.in/gE5w4X4x

Bottega Veneta opens Alec Soth exhibition in Tokyo Tokyo Playtime centres on Alec Soth’s photographs for the Bottega Veneta Summer 24 collection, shot at playground locations across Tokyo. With playground structures in the shape of animals, plants, and mushrooms, these images capture the spirit of wonder, discovery, and going places that is central to the collection. Soth’s photographs emphasize both physicality and whimsy, drawing parallels to the material craft and imaginative power of Matthieu Blazy’s designs. Alongside these campaign images, Soth has selected other pictures for the exhibition from his archive, as well as from his own personal photographic collection, that pick up on the theme of play. These include photographs from Japan, as well as some of Soth’s previous work in the United States. “When I encounter Matthieu’s work, I am in two worlds simultaneously,” says Soth. “One is profoundly physical – a world of craftsmanship that engages all the senses – and the other is the stuff of dreams. My guiding approach to the campaign was playfulness. The playgrounds felt like a metaphor for Matthieu’s imagination. I wanted to bring the same spirit to my pictures.” Tokyo Playtime runs from March 29 to April 14 Seeen, 1F/B1F 4-13-12 Jingumae Shibuya-Ku, Tokyo Available for booking on the Bottega Veneta LINE official account https://lnkd.in/dcPqqfNz

Liminal, an exhibition created by Pierre Huyghe in close collaboration with curator Anne Stenne, presents major new creations alongside works from the last ten years, particularly from the Pinault Collection.  Pierre Huyghe has since long questioned the relation between the human and the non-human, and conceives his works as speculative fictions from which emerge other modalities of world. Fictions, to him, are “vehicles for accessing the possible or the impossible—what could be or could not be.”   This exhibition is supported by Bottega Veneta, and outfits for the work Idiom are designed by Creative Director Matthieu Blazy in collaboration with the artist. Exclusive access has been extended to Bottega Veneta employees for the duration of the exhibition.   #bottegaveneta
