Also, it just dawned on me that I never posted them all here. I had originally wanted to share the art as I had the stories finished, but then the news of Gamera: Rebirth came about, and…yeah, just couldn’t wait.
Its not punishing the “desecrators” , its doing exactly what its meant to do
[Though the Gamera movie bungled it by not being consistent on whether or not it was an effect of air blowing through the stone structure causing a phychosmatic-inducing sound]
It also weirdly fits with the MonsterVerse, in particular Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) revealing that particular sounds can enrage, control, or calm the Titans. Who’s to say there aren’t frequencies that can sicken them or keep them asleep?
That it also works on humans raises some interesting questions, and may tie into the ORCA including human bioacoustics.
NONE of you in all these years were gonna tell me about a moment in “Franklin” where he hallucinates evil kaiju from Gamera??!
