Pinky x Stinky: Bros for Life

So I’m super hyped for GXK. I love that Godzilla runs and is now PINK!! It looks like a fun ride and I can’t wait to see the boys work as a team.

It’s been quite the decade of the monsterverse and kaiju media as a whole. Ten years ago I never thought we’d have such a steady flow of giant monster stuff. The US giving us the fun spectacle of Godzilla, and Japan exploring the message and metaphors of Gojira. I think having both is what has kept this property going for nearly 70 years.

On top of that we’ve gotten Pacific Rim, Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Kong, and even Gamera (more Gamera please). As long as they keep making em, I know I’ll always watch em

I was fortunate enough to get the RIC version of the Large Monster Series Godzilla 2021 release. This statue is different from the previous one I posted because the mouth and dorsal plates light up (Referred to as the RIC BOY or RIC version). Since the 2021 release is from Godzilla vs. Kong, you know that the light-up one is the one to get since Godzilla blasts almost everything in the movie. Finding the right time in the evening to take pictures of him to get the most out of the light-up feature proved difficult, but it worked.

I was curious about this Hiya Toys Godzilla statue considering it was only 45 bucks, and honestly, it's pretty good for that price point.

I dig it.

Reminder that the Godziban team built a MonsterVerse Godzilla puppet which could be unleashed in the show at any moment. I hope he only speaks English.

Everyone's saying "oh it's Biollante" or "it's Destroyah" for the new big bad in the next Monsterverse movie, but they could totally just pull a Skull Island and make a super obscure monster the main antagonist

This is why I vote Skeleturtle to be the next kaiju

But the idea of a “cursed object” actually causing illness because its intended to weaken and keep a monster sealed was an interesting one.

Its not punishing the “desecrators” , its doing exactly what its meant to do

[Though the Gamera movie bungled it by not being consistent on whether or not it was an effect of air blowing through the stone structure causing a phychosmatic-inducing sound]

I'm incredibly impressed by the Large Monster Series X-Plus Godzilla 2021. The texturing jumps out at you when you hold him in your hands, and the color variation makes the figure pop overall. Hopefully, I can get my hands on the RIC version because (not preordering it was a mistake).
