Today marks a significant milestone for the alcohol industry in Cambodia. Pernod Ricard are proud to launch the Self-Regulatory Code for Responsible Alcohol Marketing and Communication in Cambodia. We would like to extend a special thank you to H.E. Mr. Neth Pheaktra – Minister of Information and H.E. Mak Pichrith – Secretary of State, High representative of Her Excellency Cham Nimul, Ministry of Commerce for presiding during the event. With the support of the Royal Government of Cambodia, the Coalition—comprising HEINEKEN (Cambodia), Cambrew Ltd (Carlsberg Cambodia), WSBIDA, and Asia Pacific International Spirits & Wines Alliance (APISWA), along with other 11 signatories, have come together to champion this initiative. This code is a testament to our commitment to fair competition, responsible marketing, and protecting our community, also in line with our industry plea for a Legal Purchasing Age of 18. We recognise that today’s event is just the start of the journey ahead – and as we continue to inspire real change, we invite more companies to come on board and join us as we strive to enact further changes within the alcohol industry while supporting the policy roadmap of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
