my dream as a fanfic writer is to write a story which people want to talk to me about and send asks about afterwards and discuss things the characters did and the symbolism and meanings behind certain lines and I'll be all "hehe thanks" but irl I'll be in literal tears because I wrote something that means something to someone

I got an AO3 comment once which summarised said, 'I've been reading this fic for years and I keep coming back to it over and over because it's so amazing and I feel guilty that all this time I never commented, so this is me letting you know how much it's meant to me for so long.' And that was incredible, because five minutes before I didn't know that person existed and then they tell me that I've made such an impact on them.

I cannot express how much I adore dappled shadows formed by sunlight in paintings and photography and in real life
I also adore how this pattern has manifested itself in the form of camouflage for some species
The echo of those same dappled shadows that we paint in our art is genetically coded into a baby’s fur in order to keep her safe. A beautiful thing.

Tumblr should have a feature where every anon has a tenth of a percent chance to be de-anonymized. First because I think a 1/1000 chance would be too high a risk for most people sending hate. Second because it would be very funny.

#HDJFJSJAJ#i think mine would be when my manager told me to be careful with a 500°F oven at work#and i was like yes i will be so careful#then proceeded to do exactly what she told me not to do and burnt the fuck out of my arm#so the next day i was like okay i am going to be SO careful i will NOT do the same thing again#but then in my attempt to be careful i managed to burn the fuck out of my OTHER wrm#*arm#my best friend was so concerned for me#the scars have faded now but like. for at least a year they would always tell this story to people and id have the scars to corroborate#it hurt so FUCKING bad#♡alizeh talks♡
