There’s multiple ways that people use both of those words in English and the distinction doesn’t exist in some languages. The line between a labyrinth and a maze is subjective. Yes a labyrinth might be a twisting unidirectional meditation path but it might also be a place with a confusing and impossible to navigate layout.
