New faces have joined the team, a fresh fund has been closed and more investments have been made worldwide! Let's dive in: 🚀 Bigger tribe & fresh fund: we celebrated 8 new talents in Paris and New York and closed a €226m technology fund in Europe and the US. 🌎 Impactful Investments: we were proud to welcome Local Infusion, the leading #healthtech solution in transforming patient/provider experiences in our portfolio, as well as 2 more tech nuggets soon to be announced. We also renewed our trust in Too Good To Go, Wecasa and Talkiatry in secondary rounds. 🌱 Portfolio pride: Meanwhile, we're conscious that a lot is yet to be done; we are pleased to share that 92% of the companies have implemented a Diversity and Inclusion Policy. As a result, the representation of women in our portfolio has increased from 36% to 42%. Plenty to look forward to in 2024, so buckle up and happy new year! ✨

#IrresistibleTeams promote both team independence and team coordination. A similar approach used by Spotify: their each team or squad consists of eight people or fewer. The squad sits together physically in a pod with whiteboards and other tools to share their work. Each squad is an autonomous group that sets its own goals and long-term mission aligned with the overall organization. They can make decisions locally without bureaucracy or overhead, and people get to know each other because they work together every day. To maintain coordination, Spotify makes squads “loosely coupled but tightly aligned,” similar to a jazz band in which the instruments operate independently but work together to make great music. The problem Spotify and other organizations are solving is simple but profound: How should companies balance the desire for autonomy with the need for coordination?
