The mother of all dining days is upon us…you guessed it, we’re talking about Mother’s Day. Last year, Mother’s Day was the biggest dining day of 2023 and the Saturday before (May 13) took the #2 spot – and recent consumer insights suggest another big weekend of celebrations are in store this year:  💐 62% of Americans are planning to spend more on dining out than last year 💐 54% are planning to dine out for Mother's Day this year 💐 31% of American moms will consider dining out multiple times (and without the kids – 31% may dine out with friends, 21% will consider a date night sans kids and 10% may dine out solo). The corporate version of “if you like it you should put a ring on it”... we’re deepening our partnership with Sprouts Chef Training by bringing the organization to NYC! We’ve seen firsthand how Sprouts creates opportunities for underprivileged youth and helps solve the industry’s prevailing challenges around staffing by putting skilled cooks onto the line. It’s a win/win, and we can’t wait to see this program in action in one of the greatest restaurant cities in the world. We’re honored to support Sprouts Chef Training, a non-profit supporting culinary training and job placement for youth in need – we love it as the program opens doors for individuals in the industry while fostering the next generation of culinary talent. At their annual gala last week, our CEO Debby Soo moderated a panel with icons Yoshi Tome and Young Chang on mentorship and building diverse, inclusive teams.
