With Melinda French Gates’ recent announcement of a $1B donation in support of women’s rights, gender investing is taking center stage. In a powerful op-ed explaining her vision, Gates underscored the urgency to drive capital to this vital cause – not only because the need is pressing, but because research has shown, time and again, that investing in women benefits everyone. The imperative has never been more clear – and now, so are the pathways for impact. In a recent piece for ESG Investor, Sandra Osborne Kartt, CFA, Deputy Chief Investment Officer, ImpactAssets Capital Partners outlines how targeted investments can catalyze progress for #genderequality. Sandra highlights the three essential areas of need in which the patient and flexible capital of impact investors can be most effective at driving gender equality: advancing economic inclusion; delivering products and services that improve lives and outcomes; and increasing representation and voice. At ImpactAssets, we have long been working to hone actionable strategies for promoting equality for the world’s four billion women and girls. Melinda French Gates’ commitment to gender equality is an inspiration, and we’re proud to support this cause alongside thoughtful leaders like her. To learn more about ImpactAssets’ approach to drive lasting impact for gender equality, read Sandra’s full article in ESG Investor here: https://lnkd.in/ezVusMYu #impactinvesting #philanthropy

Meet Community Impact Investments! Our first two years of work are chronicled in our Impact Report which you can find today on our website (Link in first comment below) and the summary attached here. There is a village of passionate executives across many sectors who have come together over the years to bring this vision of flexible capital with ample space to incubate social change to life. Many thanks to all of you - too many to name individually - and to our fiscal sponsor, ImpactAssets. We are proud of what we've accomplished so far and look forward to what's ahead. Take a look. Happy #EarthDay2024 🌍 This Earth Day, we’re centering the critical role of #NatureBasedSolutions in addressing climate change and safeguarding our planet. We celebrate the transformative power of investing in our natural environment, a focus shared by many of the IA 50 2024 Impact Fund Managers. As our CEO Margret Trilli recently highlighted in an opinion piece for Fortune (https://lnkd.in/dEzqYiKu), not all climate solutions require high-tech innovation. Many are about harmonizing with nature to restore ecosystems that are vital carbon sinks. For instance, land-based solutions include revitalizing forests, grasslands, and other landscapes damaged by industrial practices, which play a crucial role in carbon storage and climate regulation. Among this year’s #IA50, 27 fund managers are implementing nature-based strategies through investments in Natural Resources & Conservation. They exemplify how capital can be creatively structured to protect and restore our natural environment: Active Impact Investments Alante Capital Arborview Capital BTG Pactual Timberland Investment Group Clean Energy Ventures Closed Loop Partners Dirt Capital Partners Earthshot Ventures Echo River Capital EcoEnterprises Fund Ecosystem Integrity Fund EFM Finance in Motion Iroquois Valley Farmland REIT Kairos Investment Management Company MCJ Collective Okavango Capital Partners Planet A Ventures Renewal Funds Root Capital Shared Interest SLM Partners SVX MX / SVX México Superorganism Trailhead Capital VoLo Earth Ventures Washington Maritime Blue This Earth Day, let’s celebrate and support these leaders who are investing in the planet's future.
