By now, we'd assume you've heard of Nicola Coughlan, Bridgerton's shining leading lady, but if not, we'll fill you in. The Irish actress has been in everything from Derry Girls and Barbie but is most known for her role in Bridgerton, where she stars as Penelope Featherington. The romance hit's latest season will follow her character's romance with Colin Bridgerton, played by Luke Newton, for a certifiably binge-watch worthy. Aside from her award-winning acting abilities, Coughlan is a fashion It girl in her own right, often choosing up-and-coming designers and avant-garde designs for her red carpet appearances, and her latest red look is no exception.
On May 13, Coughlan arrived at the Bridgerton Season 3 Premier in New York City wearing a wedding dress (!), which fans are whispering might be a hint for this upcoming season. Her off-the-shoulder pleated gown, styled with regal gloves and matching white pumps, is from Danielle Frankel's Fall 2024 collection. The dress features a corset with a peplum detail, and an exaggerated train layered over a pencil skirt. Stunning gown aside, our attention was drawn straight to Coughlan's bright red lip.

Coughlan's glam is a shining example of how a bold lip can tie a look together. A wedding dress is a daring red-carpet move in itself (though the all-white shade can feel simple), but her red lip adds an old-fashioned Hollywood glamour feel to the ensemble that is just iconic. Rather than a glossy lip, Coughlan opted for a sophisticated matte finish that also elevated the look. The rest of her glam was relatively simple and radiant. She wore a soft, glowy bronzer that flushed her cheeks with matching bronzy eyeshadow.
