Whenever Hunter Schafer steps on the red carpet, we know we are in for a treat. The Euphoria star turned fashion icon just simply never misses on the red carpet—her silken, flowy moment at the Golden Globes, cherry blossom flush at the Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes premiere, and honestly, her whole Hunger Games press tour are more than enough examples to prove this to be true. As is her most recent avant-garde red-carpet ensemble.

On February 16, Schafer was in Berlin to attend a special screening of A Different Man at the 74th annual Berlinale International Film Festival—one of the most prestigious film festivals in Europe. Obviously, for the occasion, she had to bring her best to the red carpet—and did she ever.

You might have seen her look and immediately remembered it from Maison Margiela’s recent Couture collection—the same show that saw Pat McGrath’s instantly iconic glazed doll skin make its debut. However, although the two-piece ensemble was already envy-worthy and ethereal on its own. it was the glam that we couldn’t help but take our eyes off of.

Starting with a radiant, hydrated, and perfect complexion, Schafer's skin was the perfect base for the rest of the look to shine. She went light on the contouring and blush to keep the focus on the statement piece—her hot pink eye look.

Despite being a bright, sometimes jarring, color, Schafer's hot pink shadow was surprisingly soft and ethereal—it actually reminds me of one of her favorite movies, Ponyo. Her eyes were surrounded by perfectly blended, abstract pink shadow. Dusted in her waterlines, the hot pink was most concentrated closest to her eyes and faded outwards from there. The shadow was brought under her lower lashline, connecting to the cat eye that extended from her upper eyelid. From the wing, the shadow was blended up towards her eyebrow, fading completely once it hit the orbital bone. Her eyelashes also seemed to be coated in a pink pigment, and her inner corner finished the eyes with a tinge of silver highlighter. Glossy, natural pink lips finished off the glam.

Her hair was the final piece of the puzzle. Stylishly messy, it was pulled back with purposeful flyaways for a romantic effect. She left plenty of strands out of the updo, including small wisps around her ear and long face-framing strand grazing her collarbone—fashion excellence.
