Activate Atlassian Intelligence for your Trello Workspace or Enterprise

Atlassian Intelligence is a virtual teammate to help your organization to work more effectively. Using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), it’s a tool that is integrated into our cloud-based products.

Activate or deactivate Atlassian Intelligence in your Premium Workspace

Only Workspace admins will be able to change these settings.

1. Open your Premium Workspace.

2. Go to your Workspace settings.

3. Under Atlassian Intelligence, use the toggle to activate or deactivate Atlassian Intelligence.

If this is the first time you’re activating Atlassian Intelligence, you’ll have to review and accept the Atlassian Intelligence Terms of Service first.

Once it’s activated, your users will get a notification that they can start using AI features on their boards.

Opt out of Atlassian Intelligence on Premium

As of 9 July 2024, even if you have never activated Atlassian Intelligence in your Premium Workspace before, Atlassian Intelligence will be automatically activated for your Premium Workspace.

If you do not want Atlassian Intelligence activated in your Premium Workspace on 9 July 2024, you can opt out by doing the following:

1. Open your Premium Workspace.

2. Go to your Workspace settings.

3. Under Atlassian Intelligence, click the ‘Opt out' button to opt out of Atlassian Intelligence.

4. You will be directed to an optional survey which will ask you why you wish to opt out. We’d appreciate if you could fill this in so we can understand your decision, then click ‘Submit’. Otherwise, you can skip the survey by clicking ‘Skip’.

After you opt out, Atlassian Intelligence will not be automatically activated for you on 9 July 2024, but you are welcome to activate it yourself in the future from your Workspace settings.

Activate or deactivate Atlassian Intelligence in your Trello Enterprise

Only Trello Enterprise admins are able to change these settings.

1. Go to your Enterprise Dashboard.

2. Locate the Atlassian Intelligence section and toggle the button to activate Atlassian Intelligence for Trello. Once enabled, every user in your Trello Enterprise now has access to Atlassian Intelligence in boards in your Enterprise Workspaces.

Opt out of Atlassian Intelligence on Enterprise

As of 9 July 2024, even if you have never activated Atlassian Intelligence in your Enterprise before, Atlassian Intelligence will be automatically activated for your Enterprise.

Frequently asked questions

I’m cancelling my Premium subscription but I currently have access to Atlassian Intelligence. Will I lose access when my Workspace downgrades to a free / Standard Workspace?

Yes - as Atlassian Intelligence is only available for Premium and Enterprise, you will lose access to Atlassian Intelligence on the Workspace you downgrade, as well as any features that are included in your subscription. I want to test out AI in Trello, but I don’t have a Premium or Enterprise subscription. How do I try out AI?

My organization has other Atlassian products and we already opted out of default-on from Atlassian Admin for those products. Do I need to opt out again for Trello?

Nope! We’ve already recorded that you do not wish to have Atlassian Intelligence automatically activated so we will not automatically activate it for you in Trello.
