Create issues for your board

There are a few different ways to create an issue from within the board:

1. Select + Create in the column you want to create an issue for in your board view. A text field will appear.

2. Give your issue a name. This will be the issue summary.

3. Choose which type of issue you’d like to create from the dropdown (if your project has more than one issue type). All level 0 issue types associated with your business project will be included, however you can’t create a subtask from the board columns. Some examples of level 0 issue types are tasks, bugs, and stories. More about creating subtasks

4. Select Create, or press enter or return on your keyboard to create your issue. The issue will appear in the column that you’ve created it in.

Another way you can create an issue in the board is by:

1. Hover your cursor between two issues on the board and select Create ( + ).

2. Give your issue a name.

3. Choose which type of issue you’d like to create from the dropdown (if your project has more than one issue type). All level 0 issue types associated with your business project will be included however, you can’t create a subtask from the board columns. 4. Select Create, or press enter or return on your keyboard to create your issue. You can also select Create. The issue will appear in the column and between the issues that you’ve created it between.

View and edit an issue's details on your board

To view, edit, or add more details to an issue, you can:

1. Select an issue to open the issue detail view

2. Edit the issue’s details.

View child issues on your board

If your issue has a child issue or subtask, it will be nested below its respective parent issue regardless of its status.

To view (or hide) subtasks inside an issue, select the expand or collapse icon inside the board card.

Delete an issue from your board

There are two ways to delete an issue in the board view.

To delete an issue from within the board, you can:

1. Select the Actions (…) at the top right of the card you want to delete

2. Select Delete.

Another way to delete an issue from the board is to:

1. Select the issue you’d like to delete, to open the issue detail view.

2. Select Actions (…), then select Delete.
