Tumblr offers a wide variety of badges to customize how your blog appears to others in the dashboard.

What Badges Look Like

Badges will appear next to your username on any post/reblog when viewed from the dashboard. 

They also appear below your blog’s name or title in the Blog View. You can access this view from the URL http://www.tumblr.com/yourblogname.

To choose which badges to display, visit your blog’s Appearance Options.

Badges for Purchase

A variety of badges are available for purchase in TumblrMart, including:

• Tumblr Supporter – Become a Tumblr Supporter!
• Important Blue Internet Checkmarks – You can never be too important for the internet.
• Important Rainbow Internet Checkmarks – Important just got colorful!
• Coppy – Certifies a Coppy-protected blog.
• Commissions Open – This artist is open for business!
• Goncharov Enthusiast – For the discerning collector.
• Important Babylonian Checkmark – Get coppery!
• Crab Checkmark – It’s crab time.
• Rainbow Crab Checkmark – Now in color.
• Lunar Badge – This badge will always display the current phase of the moon.
• Bones Badge – Team skeleton! Quake, rattle, & scroll!
• Hewie Badge – Hewwww? Appreciator of ghosts. That’s hew.
• The Literary Badge – For lovers of the written word.
• Visionary Badge – A shiny badge for artists on Tumblr.
• Shutterbug Badge – For those who live life through a lens.
• Playlist Badge – A badge for Tumblr’s music-loving community.
• The Fashionista Badge – A badge that’s always the pinnacle of style.
• The Color of the Sky Badge – Do you love it?
• The President’s Shoelaces Badge – Stole ’em from The President.
• Zodiac Sign Badge – What’s your sign?

Badges to Earn

A variety of badges are available to earn by using Tumblr, including:

• Top Poster Club – Champion! You’ve made over 100 posts!
• Blazer – Big blazer! You’ve blazed more than 5 posts!
• Generous Citizen – Benevolent one! You’ve sent more than 5 gifts!
• 601 Limit Breaker* – Earned when you viewed more than 601 posts the previous day.
• Straw Hat* – Part of a One Piece promotion that took over our dashboards.
• Boopster* – Boop a beloved this April Fools’ Day 2024 and get a badge.
• Bountiful Booper* – Earn this badge by sending over 314 boops this April Fools’ Day 2024.
• Booper Breaker* – Earn this badge by sending over 1000 boops this April Fools’ Day 2024, and breaking the Boop-O-Meter.
• Dead Boy Detective* – For the ghostliest among us, who always help a spirit in need.

As you earn badges, they will appear as a notification, which you simply click to collect.

Additional Information about Badges

Some of the badges you can earn will only work on your primary blog, like “Generous Citizen,” because you can only send gifts from your primary blog.

At this time, it’s not possible to purchase badges on a group blog.

It’s not possible to transfer badges from one blog to another.

*Some badges are only available to claim for a limited time, as part of a promotion or timed campaign. Be sure to check in often so that you can claim other exclusive badges in the future!
