pycue has already find API but it is under Limit wrapper.

OpenCue/pycue/opencue/wrappers/limit.py

Lines 42 to 43 in 847ee50

def find(self, name):
"""Finds an existing limit by its name.

Which means user needs to get Limit instance somehow (getLimits() or createLimit()) first to find a Limit. It is not efficient.
