• On web, notes navigation has received a refresh, with improved spacing and color highlights that make it easier to know exactly what you’re viewing.
• For the first batch of new communities, we were auto-adding new admins into the public Communities Feedback and private Admin Zone communities. Now that the volume of new communities has increased exponentially, we’ve decided to stop auto-adding people to those communities. Instead, soon we hope to make the Communities Feedback community free-to-join, and send admins an invite link to the Admin Zone so they can choose if they want to join. In the meantime, if you have any questions/problems/feedback, please reach out to Support.

• When searching within blogs, search results are now correctly ordered from newest to oldest.
• When browsing communities, the “New stuff alert” notice now properly reflects the community you’re viewing.

• In the iOS app, we’re aware that the notification bubble no longer appears at bottom of the screen for messages, and we’re working on a fix.

🌟 New

• If your account email has not been verified, you’ll see a new alert at the top of your Dashboard on web warning you that some features may be unavailable until you do so.
• On web, the blog view that appears when you click a blog or a post while browsing Tumblr now interacts with browser history a little differently. When you close the blog view overlay, you’ll now skip back to the history entry for the page you were on prior to opening the blog view, as opposed to creating a new duplicate entry for that page.

• On web, we’ve fixed a bug where some pages (such as Activity) would jump to the top if you opened and then closed the blog view on them.
• For a few hours yesterday, post indexing and emails were delayed. This has been fixed.

🚧 Ongoing

• In the iOS app, we are aware that blog descriptions of a very specific length are truncated and not expanding on tap.
• We are aware that using an x.com URL in a Link block no longer screenshots the Tweet. While we look into this, you can get around it by replacing x.com in the URL you want to share with twitter.com.

• We’ve launched a new redesign of the tagged and Explore pages on web.
• We’ve launched improvements to the GIF Search lookup backend used when adding a GIF to a post or sending a GIF as a message.
• When sharing a post, the image used in its Open Graph tags will now be the 1280px variant instead of 640px, when available.
• We’ve disabled the activity popover on pages that have not yet been updated to the new web experience.

• “Since you’ve been gone” posts will no longer be included in your dashboard when “Best Stuff First” is disabled in your Dashboard Preferences.
• Clicking on a top post in your blog’s activity graph on web should now open that post again.

• In the latest Tumblr for Android, we’ve fixed a variety of bugs in the followed tag management view in Explore.
• In the latest Tumblr for iOS, we’ve fixed an issue that caused searching for a tag with a hyphen in it to return potentially incorrect results.
• On web, we’ve fixed an issue that would cause blog cards to display incorrectly when the blog has chosen not to display its avatar or a header image.

• Version 17.2 of Tumblr for Android has a redesigned camera mode! New tags view, blog selector, and publishing options. Swipe right on your dashboard to try it out.
