• Internal links were not working in the iOS app. This has now been fixed in the app’s latest version.
• Images may have been periodically failing to load for some iOS app users. This has now been fixed.
• Scrolling Tumblr may have been slow for some Firefox users. This has now been fixed.
• Closing a new post editor on the web will now return you to where you left off, rather than always redirecting you to the Dashboard.

• We’ve doubled the number of recently-conversed-with blogs in the messaging suggestions when sharing a post.
• In Communities, hovering over a reaction will now reveal who the 10 most recent reactions came from.
• We’re shutting down Tipping on June 1.

• Fixed a bug on Web where entering fullscreen on an embedded YouTube video could make the embed disappear from the post.
• We fixed a bug that was allowing non-Community-members to vote in polls created inside Communities. Only members should be able to vote in polls inside Communities, at least for now.
• In the latest release of the iOS app, the ability to mute posts has been fixed.

• We are aware that Twitch videos are no longer embedding.
• We are aware that some folks are hitting a rate limit while using a VPN.
• In the iOS app, we are aware that blog descriptions are truncated and not expanding on tap.

• In the Android app, we are aware that images are not downloading for folks with Android 10 and higher. A fix is planned for the next release.

• Starting with version 34.5 of the iOS app, iOS 15 is no longer supported. Please update your device to iOS 16 or higher if possible, the latest as of today is iOS 17.5. If you cannot, tumblr.com will still work in Safari or your browser of choice.

• Twitch embeds have been fixed.
• In the Android app, folks using Android 10 or higher can download images again with version 34.5 or higher of the app.
• For a brief time, password reset emails were not sent yesterday. This was fixed quickly, so please send a new password reset if you need it, and please contact support if you still haven’t received it.

Hello, Tumblr! (And a special hello to our Tippers <3)

We introduced Tipping back in February 2022 in response to your feedback, and it’s been a great addition to many communities on Tumblr. We do love to launch features that bring you joy, and Tipping was a part of that effort.

Unfortunately, Tipping hasn’t seen the usage we’d hoped for. So, in order to focus on the things that really make Tumblr Tumblr for most users, we’re shutting Tipping down on June 1.

Have you tipped someone in the past, or is Tipping enabled on your blog? You don’t need to do anything; the little Tipping icon will automatically disappear from blogs or posts with the feature enabled, and you’ll no longer be able to Tip creators or receive Tips. Any money you have received from Tipping will be paid out to the account you registered with via Stripe by June 15.

While this will affect a very small number of you, we know that those of you who do Tip do so with great admiration for your Tumblr peers, and we’re sorry to be taking this away from you. We hope you can find other ways to show your affection and gratitude for your fellow users: You could gift someone a badge you think they’ll love or Blaze the post you’d otherwise have Tipped, and that will surely make someone’s day.

🌟 New

• We’ve launched a new redesign of the tagged and Explore pages on web.
• We’ve launched improvements to the GIF Search lookup backend used when adding a GIF to a post or sending a GIF as a message.
• When sharing a post, the image used in its Open Graph tags will now be the 1280px variant instead of 640px, when available.
• We’ve disabled the activity popover on pages that have not yet been updated to the new web experience.

🛠 Fixes

• “Since you’ve been gone” posts will no longer be included in your dashboard when “Best Stuff First” is disabled in your Dashboard Preferences.
• Clicking on a top post in your blog’s activity graph on web should now open that post again.

🌟 New

🛠 Fixes

• Fixed an issue where the Share to Tumblr widget would never load when given certain links.
• Fixed an issue which prevented asks from being answered with images and text in the Tumblr mobile apps.
• Blogs with really long titles should no longer overflow wildly across the page on desktop web.

🌟 New

• Version 17.2 of Tumblr for Android has a redesigned camera mode! New tags view, blog selector, and publishing options. Swipe right on your dashboard to try it out.

🛠 Fixes

• Fixed an issue where your “Top Posts” in your blog’s activity page could include deleted posts.

🚧 Ongoing

• We’re aware of ongoing Ray Ban post spam and are working to resolve it. We encourage everyone to use strong, unique passwords.

🌟 New

• We’ve rolled out some changes to our search filtering algorithms to improve relevancy and consistency when searching for posts.

🛠 Fixes

• In the latest Tumblr for Android, we’ve fixed a variety of bugs in the followed tag management view in Explore.
• In the latest Tumblr for iOS, we’ve fixed an issue that caused searching for a tag with a hyphen in it to return potentially incorrect results.
• On web, we’ve fixed an issue that would cause blog cards to display incorrectly when the blog has chosen not to display its avatar or a header image.

🌟 New

• You can use the URL tumblr.com/new to create a post on web.
