We’ll have to wait a while before the data from last night’s election is crystal-clear. There was a lot of buzz around early voting results, which hinted at a surge in 18-25 year olds voting. But the early results suggest that turnout among young people wasn’t much higher than it was in past midterms.
That would be tough luck for Democrats, because young people were way more likely to support Democrats in some key, competitive races. If you want to keep up with how young people voted, a group called CIRCLE will be posting more results on Twitter (@CivicYouth).
