What I thought of when I read red finnish flag
I genuinely think this is better than the actual one.
No province or municipality here aside from Amsterdam takes their flag seriously

Amsterdam. 10/10, no comments.
Rijssen-Holten. 1/10 what the fuck.
Eindhoven. 7/10 but should have embraced the vibes instead
Oost Gelre. 6/10 very pretty but how are you ever gonna stitch this together
Terschelling. 4/10. Distinct but I doubt that anyone ever will recognize it. Many such cases for other municipalities
Ede. 9/10 I hope they actually use it often
Sittard-Geleen. 2/10 this feels like the first slide in a bad powerpoint presentation
Arnhem. 5/10 for such a big city I feel like I should have seen their flag way more often, but I haven't. Too much detail for my liking but it could have been worse
There are more good ones and more terrible ones but this is a fairly representative sample. Mixed in more good ones than bad ones for the positive vibes today.
Only pics I've found were advertisment pictures (horrible), but this is the flag for Kralingen (neighborhood in Rotterdam, used to be it's own village but got annexed) and I'm curious for your opinion on it lol
Pictured is a yellow flag with a red star in the middle. The star has eight points and is shaded like the nautical star. This presumably has a name but I don't know it.
It's simple, distinctive and apparently has meaningful symbolism: "De vlag van Kralingen bevat een achtpuntige, rode ster, een symbool dat al honderden jaren aan Kralingen is verbonden [...]" (openrotterdam.nl) (although they don't say what the symbolism is lol)

Oh gemeente vlag reviews?? Can I get an opinion on the Betuwe vs Overbetuwe flags because I feel like both tried really hard but also hurt my eyes
I do think these fuck as fantasy flags.
I think the betuwe one would be really good if they lost the left stripes (and maybe the white edges?), and coloured the apples red instead. Or left the red out entirely.
The overbetuwe one has some really cute elements but it's just a little too busy. I don't now how it could be improved though.
