disabled people are worth whatever cost or resources is needed to keep them alive. disabled people are worth it even if they don't live long. they're worth it even if they will need extra support and resources for every day of their life. they're worth it even if they spend all they life indoors. none of it is wasted. none of it is in vain. time, effort, money, resources spent on a life are not wasted. these things have served their purpose. the joy of someone's existence is not undermined by not lasting forever. there's no meaningful point, some threshold where you can say "okay this is enough. after that it's not worth it." it's always worth it.

nothing you can say to me will ever make me sympathize with people willingly joining the us military. im sorry but absolutely no level of propaganda or incentives should convince you that killing brown and black people for cash is worthwhile. you are just a racist !

and yes i am including people drafted in. jail for some time is better than murdering people. you just don't wanna inconvenience yourself and you view your life as worth more than the lives of the billions of people living outside the united states

My Jan/Feb 2024 reading. No long fiction yet this year. This breaks down as two plays, one short story collection (The Dangers of Smoking in Bed, excellent), one collection of comics and the rest non-fiction.

My Mar/Apr/May reading — 7 plays, a memoir of Toronto’s mayor, a memoir of a former U.S. Border Patrol officer, and some Neil Gaiman.

June reading - a play, a classic coming of age novel, a travelogue by some guy called Mark Twain. Twain travelled across the Atlantic in 1859 and visited the Azores, Tangiers, Paris, Genoa, Naples and Athens.
