It's been a long long time coming, but all four volumes of the herbologist zine are now in stock! Each zine collects together a year of my patreon plant and fungi rewards. In each book you'll find a year of my exploration, illustration, folklore and scientific facts about the wonderful botanical and fungi filled world around us!
Thanks to the wonderful @mushroomyhouse - who helped me turn this print run into a reality! I could not have done it without them!
(Boosts appreciated!) My shop has just updated! Iβve added new prints - and restocked all three herbologist zines, and some favourite washi! So if youβd like some sparkly plant lore, washi or prints headed your way, nowβs the time!

From concept to reality. I drew this back in February for my herbologist rewards - and I was thinking way back then how lovely it was gonna be in the final zine, as a two page spread. So I did a little mockup back then, and now like months later seeing the final and holding it in my hands, Iβm very proud!Β
(also uhhh. can anyone spot the howlβs moving castle easter egg...)
For the month of October itβs become a little tradition for me to chose a fungi, instead of a plant for my herbologist rewards. I went a little extra and ending up choosing 5 mushrooms from the amanita family!Β
Announcing November's herbologist reward, the tulip! Packed with history, the tulip has been gracing our gardens (and obsessions) for hundreds of years. This month I took on inspiration from vintage seed packets, and I'm so excited by how they came out! ππ·
If you'd like to join and have these prints and tulip folklore sent your way, my patreon link is below!

night blooming jasmine (nyctanthes arbor-tristis) ππ
the work is inspired by a folktale about the parijata tree. there was once a princess called Parijat, she fell in love with the sun god Surya. Surya didn't return her love, and in despair Parijat became the night blooming jasmine tree. the flowers bloom in the night, and in the day when the sunlight touches them, they fall to the ground.
