Sure, Sony just wrapped up a jam-packed State of Play livestream. But before you have time to catch your breath, it’s time for a Silent Hill Transmission. It kicks off at 4PM PT / 7PM ET and will feature news on upcoming games, the Return to Silent Hill movie, and more.

God of War Ragnarök on PC requires a PSN account.

Here we go again. Sony just announced Ragnarök for PC, but in a video and accompanying blog post it says the game will require a PlayStation Network account. It’s not clear why, and comes weeks after Sony had to back down and reverse plans for a PSN requirement for Helldivers 2 after blistering player reaction.

Hey Overwatch, can I copy your homework?

NetEase Games debuted a new trailer for Marvel Rivals during Sony’s State of Play. And while I know nobody can claim sole ownership over a 5v5 hero shooter, it’s getting really hard to ignore the Overwatch-ness of it all when all of the trailer’s action takes place in a techno-futuristic Japanese temple festooned with cherry blossoms. Maybe things will look different during the closed beta coming this July.

Being a teenager without a smartphone isn’t that bad, actually.

There are some disheartening drawbacks like getting teased at school and being left out of group chats. But these teens were quick to point out some benefits of being smartphone-free, like having more time to spend with family or to read lots of books. As 17-year-old Greta put it: “I think I’m better adjusted.”

AI demand pushed back plans to end coal power reliance.

While it’s difficult to accurately estimate how much energy AI uses, there’s an understanding that it is energy-hungry. The Financial Times reports the Biden administration, concerned over grid reliability and providing power to data centers powering AI models, pushed back retirement dates for coal power plants in the US.

CNN knows we’ll need breaks during the Biden-Trump debate.

In case you need the chance to scream, cry, breathe, or just go to the bathroom during the presidential debate, CNN will offer commercial breaks during the June 27 event, two sources told Variety. That’s a break from tradition for presidential debates, but then again, so is plenty about this presidential debate.

I’m so jelly of Verge alum Sam Byford right now.

Mostly because he got his mitts on this rad KDDI Infobar Apple Watch case. Turning the KDDI Infobar’s iconic design into a nostalgic Apple Watch accessory? Chef’s kiss. I miss that era of Japanese feature phones so friggin’ much.

You can read more about it in Sam’s review, but how’s that for ‘replacing’ your phone with a smartwatch?
