What is a side by side fridge?
Side by side fridges are a more classic-style of refrigerator with top-to-bottom fridge and freezer compartments positioned next to each other. Similar to a french door refrigerator, these fridges feature two full-length access doors, however, with the freezer usually positioned on the left side rather than below.
What are the benefits of a side by side fridge?
Unlike a bottom mount or a top mount freezer where the freezer drawer is positioned underneath or above the fridge and is, as a result, smaller in capacity, a side by side fridge arrangement allows for equal freezer and fridge space. This is ideal for large families or households that need easy access to both fresh and frozen foods.
