Today is #WorldDayAgainstCyberCensorship! The perfect occasion to officially introduce you to Webtunnel–a new bridge type designed to mimic encrypted web traffic (HTTPS) and evade #cybercensorship. 🌉 🕵️ 🧅 Available now in the stable version of Tor Browser. 💜 This is a great example of how Tor's community of volunteers has come together to test the new feature and share their feedback to make stability improvements ahead of launch. Right now, there are 60 WebTunnel bridges hosted all over the world, and more than 700 daily active users using it on different platforms. The feature works for users in Russia, and China, with some restrictions in Iran. If you've ever considered becoming a Tor bridge operator to help others connect to Tor, now is an excellent time to get started! You can find the requirements and instructions for running a WebTunnel bridge in the Tor Community portal. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gJhF6zuZ
