While spending quality time with my family, something remarkable happened – I found myself surrounded by a wellspring of inspiration that I couldn't wait to bring back to our beloved city of Lawrence. As leaders, it's essential to recognize that even during our time off, our minds never truly stop working. We have the unique ability to perceive opportunities for growth and improvement in every experience we encounter. It's all about how we view the time outside the office and the outcomes we derive from those moments. During my trip, I stumbled upon captivating signage styles in local libraries and bookstores. The way they effortlessly blended creativity and functionality left me in awe. Additionally, I came across an intriguing airport setup that sparked my imagination just having landed and exited our Delta Terminal, reminding me of the power of architecture to create immersive environments. While some may argue that constantly engaging with work can be exhausting, I believe it's a testament to the passion that fuels our purpose. When we genuinely love what we do, our work ceases to feel like an obligation and becomes an extension of who we are. They say you get what you pay for. Do you feel as though that translates for services in addition to goods? Two years ago my family started a renovation on our home. That’s right - 2 YEARS AGO. There were a lot of obstacles we had to overcome before we even got a permit. During that time we had various individuals helping us through the process, some more helpful than others. We finally settled with a company who, while more expensive, definitely wowed us with their professionalism, attention to detail and (you guessed it) customer service. Not even a month into actual construction both my husband and I celebrated birthdays. Princeton Construction went above and beyond to recognize us on those days dropping off some awesome company swag. Beyond the recognition, it was interesting to see how the company creatively shared aspects of who they are within their brand messaging. The Owner has dogs, 3 to be exact, all golden retrievers. They are at the office daily and, now, part of my wardrobe! Such fun conversation pieces and certainly a way to engage with clients and build relationships.
