Dear Friends, I'm a big fan of Microsoft Excel, and I enjoy writing Excel functions. A few days back, one of my colleagues asked me how to solve this in in Excel. The problem: Given a table of Sub IDs, Group IDs, and Years, they wanted to get all the Sub IDs for a given Group ID and Year into a single column. I helped them solve the problem by using a combination of the following Excel functions: UNIQUE: to derive the unique GroupID-Year combination FILTER: to filter the Sub IDs based on the GroupID-Year combination TEXTJOIN: to convert the array of Sub IDs to a single value Here's a step-by-step : 1. Derive the unique GroupID-Year combination using the UNIQUE function: This will return a new column with the unique GroupID-Year combinations. 2. Filter the Sub IDs based on the GroupID-Year combination using the FILTER function: =FILTER($B$3:$B$11,($E$3:$E$11=G3)) This will return an array of Sub IDs for the given GroupID-Year combination. 3. Convert the array of Sub IDs to a single value using the TEXTJOIN function: =TEXTJOIN(":",TRUE,FILTER($B$3:$B$11,($E$3:$E$11=G3))) This will return a single value with all the Sub IDs separated by a colon. #Excel #ExcelTips #ExcelFunctions #ExcelMagic #Learning #tips #Filter #functions

I've learned Excel Essentials (Microsoft 365), which helped me to know How and Why we're using Excel. Added to me Valuable informations like the meaning of Ribbon, Quick access tool bar, shortcut menus, mini toolbar and the formula bar. Also, How to use simple formulas and functions (Max,Min,Sum and Average), how to (insert, delete ,hide and unhide) rows and columns (headings). Finally, the usage and types of different charts. Thanks for #linkedinlearning for this Simple Excel basics helped me a lot to build my initial step in Excel.♥️

Make a Table of Contents for too many tabs in your Excel spreadsheet
Too many tabs in your Excel spreadsheet? Let me help you make a Table of Contents…⤵️ 🔸Use =SEQUENCE to create a list of numbers equal (or more) to your tabs. 🔸In the cell next to the sequence enter =SHEETNAME(A2) (if that’s where the first number is located). 🔸In the next column of cells enter =HYPERLINK( "#'"&B2&"'!A2", "Go To Sheet" ). 🔸Fill that formula down. Boom. 💥 Done. ✅ Now you have a hyperlinked table of contents that takes you right to the sheet you want. No more endlessly scrolling through your sheets! Have you tried this yet? Let me know!
