Meet the members of Women of Reddit

In honor of Women’s History Month, Women of Reddit (WoR), one of Reddit’s employee resource groups (ERGs), asked the entire company to participate in an activity called "Women Upvoting Women." Snoos from around the globe showed love and appreciation for other women whom they admire as their peers.

Get to know some of WoR’s members and the great women they respect.

Molly Rodriguez: My honoree is dedicated to Marie Kare, our head of creative on business brand in Marketing, who has been my go-to for everything. She’s always been there to lend a hand and act as a support system, she’s been an ERG Lead, and I leave every conversation with her feeling motivated and like everything is going to be ok!

Elizabeth Pollard: Cheers to Rose Liu who I admire for her tenacity, her laser-focused approach, and ability to align many folks to a single vision. She is someone who is a mentor to all simply by being herself and asking thoughtful questions to shape program outcomes. Truly the best and a great human to boot.

Susanne Schmid: I’ve chosen to honor Allie Pacelli in our US Sales team. Allie has been the most wonderful partner on all things Women of Reddit. She led the WoR ERG for the past 2.5 years before handing over the reins, driving engagement, building out programs, and making the ERG into what it is today. She always has the biggest smile on her face, makes time for you, and has inspired me to do more. Plus she’s a DJ - how cool is that? 

Lillian Zheng: I'm thankful for incredible leaders like Deborah Hsieh. She's a champion for women in product at Reddit - someone we can count on to give honest advice, confide in, and trust. When I joined Reddit, she was one of the first to reach out to me and welcome me to the Reddit team, even when we had no work overlap. It's not easy when you're onboarding to a company remotely, but Deborah created an uplifting community to unite women in product and feel a sense of belonging.

Mary Walker Baus: It is a no-brainer for me to upvote Kendalle Zimmerman, MBA, our leader of the Mid-Market Services sales team. What I admire about Kendalle most is how she shows up authentically every day as a leader; like the buffalo, she runs head first into the storm, which protects and strengthens the pack. In my experience, Kendalle celebrates the open doors of opportunity that we on her team are empowered to explore, such as niche advertising verticals or creative sales strategies. She gives us the autonomy to surrender to our own greatness and our own growth.
