The newly launched EU-funded PAIR project, a five-year initiative involving 20 partners from 7 countries, aims to fortify Europe's capabilities in advanced point-of-care systems and AI-based prognostic models. Sparked by the devastating impact of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, PAIR focuses on enhancing pandemic preparedness through two innovative tools: PANPOC for rapid virus detection and PANRISK, an AI/ML model for pandemic risk assessment.
