Want to see what the future of work looks like? Then tune in to Atlassian's Team '24 live stream at 3:15pm PST to watch a keynote with Erika Trautman McCaddon, Claire Drumond, Sendhil Jayachandran, and Dave Meyer (aka a STACKED lineup).
Now you might be saying "future of work" .... ok, Allison. That's a touch hyperbolic. So allow me to tell you a few stories.
On my phone, I have 74 pixelated photos of whiteboards dating back to 2014. Did I transfer all of them to a document somewhere? Probably not.
Now - AI turns sticky notes into tasks in Jira, launch plans in Confluence, and more. Wild. Watch the live stream to learn how.
In 2018, when I worked at Weedmaps, our marketing department used Gchat as a messenger tool while Product and Engineering used Slack. Like literally used different tools to talk. Now imagine trying to plan a product launch. So many companies use different product management tools for different teams. And when you're in a cross-functional role like PMM or Project Management, you're running around, in and out of tools, trying to weave everything together. It sucks. The new features, like Goals, Shared Release Dates, and AI in Atlassian Jira do the weaving for you, so you can just do your job ... and be good at it. 2018 me literally could not have dreamed this up.
And finally, in 2022, I had a PMM join my team at DoorDash. While she was onboarding, she complained to me, "Why are all of the documents private?" "How do I learn about other teams?" etc. And she wasn't wrong. It was a subpar experience to help colleagues get up to speed. I love Google Docs for writing as a team, but they definitely felt like a place where knowledge was captured, not discovered.
Now, Search across the Atlassian platform doesn't just help you discover information, it surfaces context to you when you need it. You can search and summarize links that you paste into Jira/Confluence (even ones from Google, like Docs). Or search across the entire Atlassian Platform. It's transformed the way I do work and I am so excited for it to be out in the world and help transform the way others do work.
2014, 2018, and 2022 me couldn't have imagined the features we're launching. I was stuck in "getting work done" and not finding a better way to work.
But today? In 2024? The future of work looks different. If any of those examples resonated, watch the live stream at 3:15pm PST to find a better way to work.
