Every. single. team. I have ever, ever worked with, every product, engineering, c-suite who have ever put on a convention touting how cool they are: Emerald, NADA, SXSW. Every freaking one of them, I'll say, "We should have a booth to run user research...it'll help a ton to get participants...we can demo and do usability on live clients and potential future customers!" You know how many have done it? One. VMware. And it gathered enough material to produce and design on for months. All the others? No space/no time/not enough money/marketing a booth for that would take up too much of marketing's time. Utter bullshit. Here! Here is the proof it can happen and be effective.

At Atlassian's High Velocity event last week, I couldn't help but notice that legacy tech terminology like consolidation, automation and efficiency still play a central role in the industry. It's evident that adhering to these basics is an increasingly widespread message, but organisations continue to grapple with mastering these fundamentals and simplifying their workloads.   My LinkedIn feed has also been inundated with journalists stressing the need for communication professionals to simplify their terminology.   Despite the fast-paced, ever-changing tech landscape, the message is clear: getting the fundamentals right remains crucial in tech and serves as a valuable reminder across every industry. Sometimes, all it takes is a solid foundation and clear, universally understood language to truly hit the mark.

Atlassian Team '24 may have ended on Thursday May 2, but the content and collaboration continued last Wednesday at the NYC #AtlassianCommunity Event. Attended by 30+ users, admins and enthusiasts of Atlassian Jira, Confluence, Trello, Jira Service Management, #JWM, BitBucket and Atlassian Work Life - the event was a summary of the key announcements and discoveries from #AtlassianTeam24. Madhusudhan Matrubai acted as MC and welcomed the packed crowd to another NYC ACE. He noted that there were three new attendees in the audience, and we hope to see them at future events. Dileep Bhat provided a power-packed presentation of the key takeaways and announcements from Team '24. With #AI and #AtlassianIntelligence the major headlines of the conference, there was some intriguing discussion around #Rovo and its possible implications and use cases. Keynotes and breakout sessions were also covered while the attendees took notes and got involved in the discussion.
