The consequences of not listening

I think consequences of not listening are plentiful, and I've been caught in many of them. You don't know what's going on. You kind of get caught red handed sometimes if someone calls you out with a question. Just ultimately, you're there to have a conversation with someone. You're having a meeting for a reason, right? And you're not getting out of it. Maybe what you should in order to take on your next task or know what your deliverable is or know what you're in charge of. You know, and I think another detriment of not listening is you're not connecting with people. We're in a moment right now where so many of us are remote and we're virtual, we're hybrid, all these things. And everyone is yearning for some kind of connection, whether it's in a simple business meeting or otherwise.
