How do you deal with multiple decision-makers and stakeholders in sales negotiations?
This just came up today and thought I'd mention here, I've always said that in negotiating, there are three things available and only two you can give away. Ideally you don't have to give away anything. Here they are: 1) Price 2) Terms 3) Time or Speed If you give away price, be willing to hold and ask for terms and time (or speed) in exchange. If you give away price and terms, you need to ask for time or speed in exchange. If you give away all three, you have lost high-ground and nothing to negotiate and lost any control of the deal. If you can find a way to deliver more value than the price and hold all three, that would be ideal.

I always knew I wanted to start my own company. I was planning on being an entrepreneur for as long as I can recall, certainly from 8 or 9 years old.
I had a real passion for cars while growing up and at some point, decided that I wanted to own and run a car dealership, ideally BMW or Porsche, but I didn’t know how. I did however know someone who had done it. I did however know someone who had done it. Dave Kassik in Kitchener Waterloo owned a BMW and Volvo dealership (B-K Motors) and my dad and I would frequently take trips to his dealership. I told him that I wanted to own a dealership and he said that if that was the case, I had to go to Northwood University.
I hadn’t heard of the school but immediately looked into it and applied once ready. I was accepted into the automotive management school.
The initial idea for my agency started at Northwood during a workshop I attended at the school with a speaker in the advertising world. I remember my initial thoughts and ideas for starting my own agency at that point.

Operation Underground Railroad is leading the fight against child trafficking worldwide. It is a cause that the entire Richter team is incredibly proud to support.
The idea to support O.U.R came from our CEO, Robert Cornish. As a father, he felt the real-world help from O.U.R to children across the globe was something he had to get behind. When he let it be known to our entire team that he intended to offer financial support to O.U.R from Richter on a regular basis, it was met with…Operation Underground Railroad is leading the fight against child trafficking worldwide. In college I was tasked with doing some volunteer work for the local community so I chose to work with Mothers Against Drunk Driving to create a new brochure for them to handout. While studying up on this organization I learned about how it started. It's gut-wrenching to imagine your child killed by a drunk driver.
There are 10,497 deaths per year from drunk driving. That's nuts. I quit drinking 13 years ago because I couldn't see any positive outcome it caused in my life.

I absolutely hate to see the destruction of our oceans via trash, over-fishing and so forth. Over the years I've spent a lot of time in and around the ocean and have a deep appreciation for it. I contribute to the Ocean Conservancy because they do good work to help protect it.

I can’t stand hearing about animals going extinct or general destruction to the planet and wildlife so I support WWF. There’s a lot of work to do to protect and safeguard these creatures and from what I can tell, WWF does a lot of good in the world.
